Born in the tradition of Italian craftsmanship, Bottega Veneta has set a new benchmark for luxury
benchmark in luxury since its creation in 1966, in the heart of the Veneto region. The rich history of Veneto is intimately linked to the brand, with the art, culture and beauty of Venice at the heart of its identity.
Bottega Veneta's SS24 eyewear continues to explore new methods and patterns, applying the house's codes to timeless frames. The collection can be defined by four key innovations: a new Sardine pattern, a Bold Ribbon effect, an integral Intrecciato pattern and the evolution of the iconic triangular hinge.
SARDINE - April 2024 Collection
First introduced by creative director Matthieu Blazy as a bag handle, the Sardine is a sculptural, sinuous feature inspired by the Mediterranean Sea. The abstract fish figure appears this season for the first time on the eyewear collection, redefining the temples of a classic pilot frame and realized with the same unique methodology applied to Bottega Veneta jewelry.
TRIANGLE
The triangle is one of Bottega Veneta's key codes. It is an abstract inspiration from the V of Veneto, the Italian region where the founders began to work leather in a unique way.
It continues to evolve this season in the form of an exclusive metal insert, made from a special highly transparent resin. This resin is poured into a mold by gravity, at low pressure, resulting in a wide, shiny and perfectly polished band. The Bottega Venetta logo is laser-engraved on the metal insert.
INTRECCIATO
The emblematic Intrecciato motif is applied to eyewear in designs reminiscent of the house's rubber accessories. Inspired by the fluidity of Bottega Veneta bags, this innovative style is crafted in three pieces with an invisible hinge. A monomaterial approach to eyewear imitates the full Intrecciato with molded plastic
